ABOUT GEORGE

George Watt is the founder of George Watt and Associates and a Principal of Davy and Watt.

With a background in Surveying, George Watt can visualise the site in context with the desired design. Designing is fluid motion to George, being able to sketch a design on site whilst the client is laying down the brief.

George Watt hails from the Port Macquarie Hastings area and after several years working and studying in Sydney returned to the region with his wife, Susie. Together they have four adult children and a growing number of grandchildren.  George is well known in the local area for his community involvement.

George is a Chartered and Accredited member of the Building Designers Association of Australia.

ABOUT BEVAN

Bevan Davy completed his Diploma in Architectural Technology in 2005. He received the Building Designers Association of NSW Award for Outstanding Performance achieving first place in the Diploma course. Bevan joined the business in 2002 as a Draftsperson.

Bevan’s expertise is in CAD and BIM Software. This creates the opportunity for three-dimensional computer modelling and visualisation, enabling production of high quality rendered presentations and project specific walk-throughs.

In 2017 Bevan Davy became a partner in the business which was renamed Davy and Watt.

Bevan is a Chartered and Accredited member of the Building Designers Association of Australia and a ‘Sustainability Design Specialist’.

ABOUT DAVY AND WATT

In 1984 George Watt was working in a local survey office when he was approached by several  builders to draw house plans. He saw an opportunity to provide an affordable building design service and George Watt and Associates was established.

Bevan Davy joined George Watt and Associates in 2002 as an apprentice draftsperson and completed a Diploma of Architectural Technology. In 2017 Bevan became a partner in the business which was renamed Davy and Watt.

For over 30 years and more than 3,000 completed projects Davy and Watt (formerly George Watt and Associates) have been working closely with clients to achieve creative, innovative and sustainable building designs that respond to the client’s needs and requirements. Davy and Watt has built an extensive portfolio and strong recognition within the local community.

Servicing the Camden Haven, Bonny Hills, Lake Cathie, Port Macquarie and Greater Hastings area for such an extensive time has equated into strong working relationships with the region’s Local Council, Builders and Building Consultants.
